DOZENS of arts and craftspeople ply their multi-coloured wares from across the globe on the streets of the city as part of the arts and crafts market.
A prime opportunity to stock up on some unique one-off gifts, homewares, and design pieces, the annual August event represents a plethora of different skills from designers working with a variety of materials.
The stalls stock original timber carvings, jewellery, bags, glassware, mirrors, ornaments, textiles, photography, clocks, stationery, aromatherapy products, natural skincare, wooden toys and lots more.
Items from more far-flung shores include Oriental bags, fairly traded gift items from Africa, Indian crafts, and silk and cotton handbags from Thailand.
The traders are joined by a special summer beer garden, offering a tantalising selection of food and drink to be enjoyed in a spacious outdoor seating area.
Choose from Spanish paella, chorizo rolls, or hot pork sandwiches, all washed down with a glass of chilled British wine or local Hyde’s ale.
The Arts and Crafts Market is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the city’s summer ambience.
