Slow Braised Venison

A perfect meal for your friends to enjoy

What do you need?



Ingredients

Large diced venison
14oz diced onion
4oz diced carrot
2 sprigs of thyme
2 crushed garlic cloves
3oz brown sugar

1 bottle of red wine
4oz flour
1 pint of stock
3tsp of olive oil
Salt and pepper

Method

Lightly flour venison.

Heat olive oil in heavy pan then quickly fry venison until lightly brown all over.

Remove from pan then fry onion and garlic until slightly brown.

Add venison to the pan. Add stock, wine, sugar and thyme.

Simmer gently for two hours.

Season and serve.
