NORTHENDEN Food Market launched in 2007 – and is going from strength to strength after becoming a firm favourite with locals.
What started out as a one-off experiment has now become a monthly farmer’s-style market, showcasing local producers from across the North West.
Delectable goodies like homemade pies and sweet treats, including fudge and toffee, are piled high next to top quality fresh meat, fish, poultry, fruit, vegetables, olives, and bakery products.
Foodies can buy goods from renowned producers, such as the Ribble Valley Meat Company, Farmers Preserves and Lakeland Picnic. Burnley-based Duerden's Confectionary – who have been making fudge for three generations – also sell on the market.

As well as their regular monthly event, Northenden holds a special Christmas market for shoppers to pick up last minute treats and get into the festive spirit.
Have your Christmas table spruced up by Pam Box’s pork and cranberry pies, punchy pickles from Parker’s Preserves, Pendle Pat-a-Cake’s home made Christmas puddings and cakes, and delicious black pudding from the Real Lancashire Black Pudding Company.
There's also fresh game and poultry available – the essential ingredient for a delicious Christmas dinner. And the whole experience is complemented by carols, music and hot chestnuts. A perfect mini-Christmas market.
