To mark the arrival of the Spring Markets, we're giving away two deluxe hanging baskets, worth about £40 each.
They're 'English Country Garden' baskets and they're being supplied by Dirk the Dutch Plant Man – the fellow responsible for that mini forest of spruces at the Christmas markets, and for all the lovely spring flowers and bulbs that are brightening our walks through the city centre at the moment.
Dirk is in Manchester for the Spring Markets which have taken over the part of the city around St Anne's Square. He has set out his carpet of plants on Exchange Street, and you'll find a smaller selection on King Street.
He's just one of many stall holders who are currently filling the city centre with life and colour. There's also a wide range food and drink delights, crafts, gifts, fashion, and more. Make sure you check it out – the Spring Markets run until Sunday 6 June from 10am to 6pm.
